Ambassador Committee Guidelines
Vision
The vision of the Chamber Ambassador Committee is to learn more about
each member’s expectations of the Chamber, then establish a product,
programs and services that benefit each member’s needs and interests.
Our organization will model outstanding customer interaction and information
gathering efforts. The members will be placed at the center of our organization.
Mission
The mission of the Ambassadors is to maximize membership retention and
involvement in Chamber programs, services and events by directly mentoring
our members on how to effectively become involved in the Chamber and take
advantage of business development opportunities suited to their specific
business goals.
Rationale
The Ambassador Committee performs an extremely important function for
the Derby Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is a member and dues-based
organization, and membership recruitment and retention are vital to our
existence. The Ambassadors keep members updated, involved and encourage
participation in the Chamber, thereby ensuring members recognize the value
of their membership and maintain their commitment to the Chamber. The
Ambassadors assist the Chamber in fulfilling its mission of business leadership
dedicated to an environment where all businesses and citizens have the
opportunity to prosper. Furthermore, Ambassadors play key mentoring and
modeling roles for all members in demonstrating how to successfully use
the Chamber and actively participate in the business community.
