Opportunity for Involvement

We want YOU to get involved in your Chamber of Commerce! Your involvement will directly benefit your business. We are always looking for new faces and new ideas. Review the committees listed below then let us know how you would like to become an active member of the Derby Chamber of Commerce. We’ll look forward to hearing from you!

Ambassadors:
The Ambassadors are the welcoming committee to the Chamber of Commerce. They attend ribbon cuttings and ground breakings of new businesses. They are available at breakfasts to greet and sit with new members.

Military Affairs: The Military Affairs committee works as a connection to McConnell Air Force Base. They communicate through Commanders’ luncheons, attend a quarterly awards lunch and other events at the base. They also coordinate an annual golf tournament.

Governmental Affairs: This committee keeps the Chamber connected to local city, state and federal issues that affect the business community.

Consumption Junction: This annual silent auction and food fair takes place in the fall. Local restaurants will have the opportunity to showcase their menus by setting up food booths. There will also be a silent auction and live auction with hundreds of items to bid on. This event is open to all Chamber members, as well as the general public.

Golf Tournament: The Derby Chamber will be hosting a new tournament this year at Derby Golf & Country Club. A portion of the proceeds fund the Chamber's Military Affairs Committee which helps many projects and programs of McConnell Air Force Base.

New Teacher Luncheon: The Chamber hosts a catered luncheon in August to welcome all new teachers to USD 260. The committee will help plan and implement the luncheon and greet the new teachers and administrators as they arrive.

Annual Banquet: The new president, officers and newly-elected directors are installed at this annual event held in January. The committee will help plan and implement this event.
