City of Derby
Derby, Kansas is a small town growing in the heart of
the nation. Home to approximately 23,000 people, it is only
10 minutes from Wichita, Kansas’ largest metropolitan
area. Although Derby began in 1869 as a farming community,
stage and freight stop, it is now primarily residential.
Picturesque farms still dot the countryside; however, most
local breadwinners work in nearby business and industry.
