Ribbon Cuttings:
Schedule a Ribbon Cutting to let the public know you are a proud Chamber member. Ambassadors, Board members and Chamber staff will attend this publicity event. We will pose in front of your business with the green ribbon and large scissors to create a photo opportunity to announce your membership to the public. Your photo will be on the Chamber’s Web site, in local newspapers, and a framed color photo will be delivered to your business for display.
Good Morning, Derby !! Chamber Breakfast:
Chamber Breakfasts are scheduled for the first Thursday of each month excluding the summer months of June-August or unless otherwise noted. At the Breakfast approximatley 75-90 people attend to network and enjoy various programs including Legislative, Business Resources and other various topics.

An annual legislative reception is held to introduce Chamber members to local elected officials. School board members, City Council members, Sedgwick County elected officials, and Derby ’s mayor will be on hand to answer questions about government issues in a meet-and-greet atmosphere.
New Member Social:
New member receptions are held twice a year to welcome all new members to the Chamber. This is an opportunity for new members to meet Chamber Ambassadors and the Board of Directors, as well as to learn how to get the most out of their Chamber memberships by networking.
New Teacher and Administrator Luncheon:
The Chamber hosts a luncheon in August to welcome teachers and administrators who are new to USD 260. This event is a great opportunity for Chamber Members to get in front of the employees of the Derby Public Schools and meet and greet!
Consumption Junction:
The Chamber hosts an annual auction and food fair in the fall that is attended by Chamber members and the general public. The evening begins with approximately 15 Event Chefs offering samples of their restaurant or catering menus. While the attendees are enjoying the food, they will be bidding on over 200 items in the silent auction. The evening concludes with a live auction. This event is open to the public and is attended by approximately 400 people.
Spring Fling:
In 2009 the Chamber started a Women's Fair called Spring Fling. Since it was such a success in 2009, the event was moved to a larger venue in 2010. At this event there are business booths, demonstrations, mini informational sessions and a luncheon event with a fashion show, make-over and mother-daughter-look-alike contest. This event is not only open to Chamber Members, but we also invite the public to come and enjoy a day of fun for women of all ages. In 2011, the event will be held
on April 30th, so mark your calendars!
