Government & Military Relations
The mission of the Government and Military Relations Committee is to educate, facilitate, and advocate on behalf of the membership regarding local, state, and national issues that may impact member businesses and to foster the relationship established with McConnell Air Force Base by providing support to military families.
1) Identify important future legislative and local governmental issues that affect the business community.
2) Work with City staff and local elected leaders to identify issues and gather facts for business community.
3) Foster relations with McConnell Air Force Base to create an atmosphere of support and appreciation for the economic impact they provide.
4) Serve as the community and business advocate on legislative and military issues at the local, state and federal levels.
5) Help plan candidate forums, the legislative breakfast held in December, and any other networking opportunities that may be designed within this committee.
