Derby is proud of its 286 acres of beautiful parks and recreational facilities. Many of Derby 's 26 parks and facilities can be reserved for private use by calling the Derby Recreation Center at 316-788-3781.

Derby 's parks provide an abundance of activities that include playgrounds, sand volleyball, basketball, tennis, soccer, fishing, nature trails, disc golf and skate boarding, in addition to numerous picnic and family gathering facilities.

And don't forget about Rock River Rapids, Derby's fabulous water park!





 


Drive around Derby at any time of the day or evening and you will see people enjoying the 14+ miles of hike and bike paths that connect residential, business, recreation and community areas throughout town. Get out and enjoy the seasons in Kansas on foot or on your bike!



Our newest addition: The Derby Public Library's new 36,000 square feet facility opened in November of 2009 ready to serve patrons in and around the Derby area.
